How are Sensing Nature's Programs Different?
Our programs are conducted by professionals who provide research-proven science while including hands-on props and activities that are both fun and interesting. We encourage interactive discussions and expand our audiences' understanding about science. Keeping our nature programs enjoyable yet educational, interpretative and engaging is very important to us. |
Do We Bring Live Animals as Props?
No, we do not bring live animals to programs. Our educational props include biofacts permitted through the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, replica models, fossils and other interesting hands-on learning items.
Who Teaches Our Programs?
Sensing Nature's staff has a breadth of environmental education and experience, including professional biologists, certified UF Florida Master Naturalists and Instructors, National Association for Interpretation Certified Interpretative Guides, park naturalists and certified teachers. Our educators share research-proven information through enjoyable presentations and activities keeping environmental ethics and conservation at the forefront of every discussion. All of our educators are COVID vaccinated.
Typical Program Length?
Our most popular requests from schools, non-profit organizations, nature centers and conference groups are for programs 45 minutes to 1 hour, but we also provide half-day, all day and multiple day environmental education opportunities.
