About Us - Brian Lane

Mr. Brian Lane is a Senior Ecologist and QA/QC Director for Sensing Nature, LLC. Mr. Lane has over 15 years of consulting experience managing environmental and ecological projects for a variety of private and government clients including the SWFWMD, SFWMD, Pinellas County, the City of Tampa, FDEP, and the US Air Force.

Mr. Lane is an award winning, certified instructor for the University of Florida’s Florida Master Naturalist Program and has conducted continuing education classes at regional extension facilities and throughout the State of Florida. He enjoys teaching interactive nature education to schools, the public, government staff and volunteer groups, commercial business owners, and non-profit organizations.

He has proven experience providing technical expertise for ecological projects, including establishing jurisdictional wetland boundaries, conducting wildlife evaluations, threatened and endangered species surveys, environmental permitting, designing wetland creation and restoration sites, conducting qualitative and quantitative vegetation monitoring, and conducting soil assessments. Mr. Lane is a Director on the Friends of Pinellas Master Naturalists Board, and is a member of the Pinellas Living Green Expo Steering Committee.
